Nelly Oaks slept with Ksh1.5 million under his pillow for five days – money which he took from Akothee without her knowledge.
In August 2021, Akothee withdrew Ksh1.5 million from a bank in Kisumu before she collapsed and lost consciousness.
She woke up in the hospital having chewed blackout and completely forgot about the Ksh1.5 million that she withdrew from the bank.
Unknown to Akothee, Nelly Oaks had kept the money and only reminded her about it nearly a week after she got better.
“I withdrew 1.5M from the bank this day in the middle of kisumu, I had no idea what I really wanted to do with the money, I then collapsed and woke up in hospital, .
“This guy ,this same guy ,#Nellyoaks 😭😭🛏️didn’t go home , he took me to agakhan hospital kisumu , then letter transferred to kisumu specialist, I had lost my mind 🙆🤔🤔
“He admitted me In hospital,and slept on the hospital couch for the 5 days with the 1.5m under his pillow ,until I gained my conscience 🤔🤔🤔.
“Then after we were discharged he asked me
: Baby ,I have 1.5 m you took out of the bank on mo day ,what was it for ? Before we go to Rongo , should we take it back to the bank , or you had some other errands , because salaries have already been paid 🙆, and can’t see any pending bills 🤔🤔🤔.

On April 21, 2022, Akothee took to social media and announced that she had broken up with Nelly Oaks. She claimed that she had been dumped by her former manager.
“Nimeaachwa imagine I am single again. Hii relationship usichukulie personal,” wrote Akothee.
She added that;
“Do you remember when I told you I am taken! Well till death do us part just parked and left! I am single again guys the road to relationship is always under construction.”
Nelly Oaks served as Akothee’s manager before they fell in love and started publicly dating.
After breaking up with Nelly Oaks, Akothee got into a relationship with Swiss ‘Omondi’ on 16th July 2022.
