Sauti Sol band lead member Bien Aime Baraza has explained why his wife Chiki Kuruka chased away a fan who was grinding on him during a concert last weekend.

Speaking to Milele FM, Bien said that Chiki, who is his manager, was just carrying out her duty of ensuring that he goes on stage while focused.

According to him, the female fan who danced behind him suggestively was a distraction.

“She was there for a job. Chiki is my manager so she was acting in her capacity. Don’t look at it like my wife was being [petty]. She is my manager. She needs to ensure that I go on stage without distractions and while focused. The woman was a distraction. I also moved away politely. She told security he should try harder so that I don’t get distracted by people before going on stage,” Bien said.

Bien supported his wife’s actions saying that it was right and further said that the fan was also right.

“Let her do her job. No one wronged anyone there. The woman was happy but Chiki and I were on a job,” the artist said

He also said that he does not remember how he felt as the woman twerked behind him adding that he only remembered about the incident after seeing memes online.

Bien further noted that Chiki was not angered by the incident.

“We are at work. There are no feelings there. We take money as we move forward,” he concluded.
