Michelle Ntalami has shared details of how the relationship between slain LGBTQ+ activist Edwin “Chiloba” Kiptoo and his lover Jackton Odhiambo was.
According to her, the relationship was not all rosy and that Odhiambo broke Chiloba’s heart multiple times before he eventually killed him.
She added that she had discussed the issue with the deceased severally but he would not quit the relationship because of his loving heart.
“Painful, that he who claimed to love you broke your heart over and over, and eventually took your life. We talked about it so many times. That was NOT love. But that pure heart of yours would not let go. Oh darling,” she wrote adding that those behind Chiloba’s death will never know peace.
In his statement, Odhiambo admitted to killing Chiloba saying that he cheated on him.
At the same time, Ntalami revealed that Chiloba came into her life when she was having a tough time. Ntalami shared with the world a personal story which touched Chiloba so much that he looked for her to offer her love and support.
According to her, they first met in February last year during Valentines’ Day.
“He traveled all the way from Eldoret to Nairobi just to see me and give me this bouquet of roses, as he knew I wasn’t having the best one,” Ntalami said.
“Fast-forward to June, and he literally couldn’t wait for my birthday to celebrate. In true Edwin fashion, pun intended, he owned the room! Swipe for some cherished memories, and see how he always spoke life and love to me, and everyone who knew him. This is the kind of friend I have lost,” she added.
Ntalami further said that Chiloba had been sharing with her his dreams of being a global fashion icon. She was however saddened by the fact that that came to pass but in a tragic manner. She also shared photos of their memorable moments and screenshots of some of their conversations.
