Raila To Ruto: As You Are Looking For Your Indians, Also Look Into Msando, Jacob Juma’s Murders

Raila Odinga has questioned William Ruto’s spirited investigation into the disappearance of two Indians who were part of his campaign team while he remains quiet about the gruesome murders of prominent Kenyans like Jacob Juma, Chris Msando among others.

Speaking during a press conference held at the Serena Hotel on Thursday, November 3, 2022, Raila empathized with the families of the two missing Indians.

“Ruto seems to be looking for some Indians whom he lost in the middle of the August election. Those Indians were human beings they deserved to live and we continue to pray for their families and hope they will be found alive and that justice shall be done,” Raila said.

The Azimio leader nonetheless called on Ruto to use the same energy he has put in to getting to the bottom of what happened to the Indian to also investigate the strange murders and disappearance of Kenyans.

Sergeant Kipyegon Kenei, former IEBC ICT manager Chris Msando, Jacob Juma etc are among individuals who Raila demands that Ruto should tell Kenyans how they met their deaths.

“But we believe the Indians are not the first to disappear and they will most certainly be not last if the past is anything to go by. So as Mr Ruto mount a search for the Indians whoever and whatever they were to him we want an equally a vigorous search the truth behind their disappearance and death of Kenyans,” Raila said.

The missing Indians Zulfiqar Khan, Mohamed Zaid, and a Kenyan taxi driver Nicodemus Mwania were last seen leaving a club in Westlands after a night of partying on July 23.

Ruto aide Dennis Itumbi said that the missing three were killed by the disbanded Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) unit.

Dennis Itumbi said in a Facebook post that Zulfiqar Ahmad Khan and his friend Mohamed Zaid Sami Kidwai were part of the Kenya Kwanza digital campaign team, and contributed immensely to the success of Ruto’s campaign.

A report in The Nation stated that the Special Service Unit (SSU), a group that has been accused of extrajudicial killings, was behind the disappearance of Khan and Kidwai.

A total of 21 detectives who served under the unit are facing probe and prosecution.
