Actress Winnie Bwire has been battling breast cancer for some time now and she is winning.
Bwire, who plays ‘Dida’ in the popular Citizen TV telenovela ‘Sultana’, opened up about her battle with cancer in a post on social media.
“Cancer doesn’t scare me anymore,” she wrote.
The actress, who is engaged to her fellow actor Dan Sonko, celebrating the end of breast cancer awareness month by appreciating those who walk with her.
“Those in the know walked with me from the very beginning. We’re almost at the end of the lap, and I count myself blessed to have people like you in my life. A big thank you to God. He is the star of my show,” she wrote.
The cancer warrior shared photos of her clean shaved head, wearing a white dress accompanied by cancer awareness hashtags.
In another post, she said the healing process continues to teach her that strength of heart, mind and emotion computes a warrior spirit.
“We are the true determinants of what we take on in this life. I salute all the warriors out there who have chosen mind over matter.”
