Lang’ata Member of Parliament Phelix Odiwuor aka Jalang’o clashed with NTV after he failed to show up for an interview.
Journalist Salim Swale said directly on the air that the MP, who was previously a radio presenter and comedian, had also been given an invitation and he accepted but at the end of the day he pulled out without any explanation.
Swale said that Jalang’o had agreed to come to explain his plans to the people of Lang’ata but he could not keep that promise and refused to show up for the interview.
(Now, viewer, as usual every Monday we keep our leaders here in Kigondani to answer your questions that you send us directly, important questions. But with great sadness, the new member of parliament for Lang’ata constituency Phelix Odiwuor a.k.a Jalang’o Mwenwe could not come despite us inviting him and despite him confirming that he would come. He failed to arrive without even giving an excuse for not arriving. These are the leaders that we have chosen and we have given them the responsibilities that they have avoided or failed to explain in front of you, dear viewer),” Salim Swale said.
