Catherina Kamau is competing with Rihanna for a share of the Kenyan beauty industry and as such she couldn’t attend Fenty Beauty’s debut in Nairobi.
Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty line debuted in Nairobi on Thursday, May 26, 2022, with a grand reveal and launch at The Social House in Lavington.
Top celebrities like Janet Mbugua, Makena Njeri, Kendi Christine, Noni Muchiri, and Annette Gitau among others were in attendance.
Catherine Kamau gave Fenty launch in Kenya a wide berth. When asked by her fans why she was conspicuously missing she said that Rihanna is her direct competitor.
“Not me missing fenty launch, because of conflict of interest. I mean is House of Humba Cosmetics a joke to you. Big dreams. Mark this tweet #SaveYourCenty,” Catherine Kamau tweeted.
Catherine Kamau only recently ventured into the lucrative beauty industry when she launched her lip care brand dubbed ‘House of Humba’ on May 21.
The mother of two held an exquisite launch for ‘House Of Humba’ graced by her close friends and fellow celebrities.
Among those who showed up to support the award-winning actress on her new venture include her husband Phillip Karanja, Jacque Matubia, Diana Marua, Neomi Ng’ang’a, Celestine Ndinda, Milly WaJesus, Wambosha Maxine, Milly Chebby, Gathoni, Judy Nyawira among others.
Kamau is in direct competition with Huddah Monroe and Rihanna who are in the same business with her.
