Bahati has been mocked while others pitied him after Jubilee Party asked to drop his Mathare MP dreams.
Jubilee party didn’t hold primaries to select candidates vying on its tickets, Bahati was among the lucky who were given direct nominations.
But just days after Bahati was picked to vie for Mathare seat on Jubilee ticket, the party on Sunday April 24th asked him to drop his bid.
Bahati indicated all wasn’t well on Sunday night when he took to social media to cry foul and said he would hold a press conference to address the nation.
The wannabe Mathare MP broke down into tears while addressing journalists during the press conference.
Bahati blamed President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga for his woes, he said zoning of political stronghold was what is denying him the chance to vie for Mathare MP seat on Jubilee party.
He said that Mathare constituency had been zoned as ODM stronghold and as such Jubilee was ceding ground for ODM candidate.
Bahati emotionally pleaded with Raila and Uhuru to allow him vie for Mathare MP seat on Jubilee party ticket.
Following the emotional press conference, Kenyans took to social social media to either poke fun at Bahati or to encourage him.
YouTuber Thee Pluto empathized with Bahati saying that Kenya has its owners who call the shots.
“Kenya si yet tena. Yaani unashinda fair na bado unaambiwa ustep down na wenye party.. kweli Kenya ina wenye kusema,” wrote Thee Pluto.
Lillian Nganga took to Twitter to deliver a bitter truth to Bahati telling him politics is not for the faint hearted.
“Politics world over is not for the weak. I admire the courage…??,” Lillian Nganga tweeted.
