Former News Anchor Robert Ouma Who Was Forced To Be Matatu Tout Lands New Job

Robert Ouma opted to be a matatu tout on Rongai route after being fired from his job as a news anchor. He has now landed a new job in media.

Switch TV fired Robert Ouma along with several other journalists after the station changed its model of operations on December 31, 2021.

Switch TV made a radical change in its business model that saw it transition from on-air to digital broadcast.

The Red Cross-owned station ceased its on-air broadcast operations, a move that made Switch TV to lay off most of its employees.

After being laid off by Switch TV, Robert Ouma quickly resorted to find an alternative source of income and he ended up in the matatu sector.

He became a tout on matatus plying the Rongai route. However Ouma maintained an official look always wearing suit and tie while working as a makanga.
