Bishop David Muriithi had a previously unblemished reputation, but his character was called into question when a woman claimed he was a baby daddy to her child and accused him of being an absentee father.

Victor Kanyari is a controversial Kenyan televangelist who gained notoriety for his alleged fraudulent practices. He rose to fame in the mid-2010s for his program on a local TV station, where he claimed to possess supernatural powers and could heal people of their ailments.
However, his fame turned to infamy after an investigative journalist exposed his fraudulent practices, including faking miracles and extorting money from his followers. He was accused of running a “church” that exploited vulnerable people by soliciting money in exchange for miracles and blessings.
Kanyari faced immense backlash from the public and was subsequently arrested and charged with fraud. Despite his criminal charges, he continued to operate his “church” and remained unrepentant for his actions.
His controversial practices have sparked debates around the role of religion and the exploitation of vulnerable people for personal gain in Kenya and for allegedly operating a syndicate that scammed Kenyans through his notorious KSh 310 offering.
