Gospel artiste and pastor Linet Munyali aka Size 8 has once again announced an end to her marriage to Samuel Muraya popularly known as DJ Mo.
In a post on Instagram on Instagram on August 1, 2024, Size 8 announced that her 11-year marriage to DJ Mo had ended and that she is now embracing single life.
“Sometimes marriage works by God’s grace and sometimes it does not work but all in all God is still on the throne!!!! Ive been married for 11 years and now i start the Journey of single hood! But God is still on the throne i worship you Yaweh!” Size 8 wrote.
Size 8 and DJ Mo’s marriage has not been a bed of roses, they have been affected by infidelity and bitter disagreements.
Mo and Size 8 tied the knot in a secretive and private ceremony at the Attorney General’s office on September 23rd 2013.
The celebrity couple has battled several challenges in their marriage just like any other normal spouses.
Speaking during an interview with Kiss FM in February 2022, Size 8 opened up about a major disagreement with her husband in 2016 which saw her throw DJ Mo out of their matrimonial home.
The mother of two revealed that sometime in 2016 she locked DJ Mo out of their house and threw out his belongings.
She acknowledged the fact that at the time she was not mature enough to handle domestic squabbles calmly.
“Before I matured into a lot of things, I used to overreact, ata kuna day in 2016 nilifungia Mo nje, alikuta vitu zake nje na mlango nimefunga,” Size 8 said.
She added that…
“I have had my shares of drama, I’ve really sumbuad…I have really packed and gone…I have really overreacted. I have done all that and I thank God because right now I handle things in a very different mature way. I like being honest with marriage because when you’re honest, you encourage other people, when you paint a picture of perfection, you make other people feel like they’re in hell…I can say I have really matured and I don’t pack and go after every argument.”
Size 8 also narrated another squabble in 2018, which resulted in her moving out of their family house into her own house.
“I’ve moved out…In 2018 nilitoka nikapack na nikaget hao yangu,” she revealed.
Size 8 however didn’t talk about the infidelity that happened in her marriage.
Sometimes in October 2020, DJ Mo was exposed for having extra-marital affairs with a manicurist working in Bahrain identified as Margaret Wanyama.
Wanyama through blogger Edgar Obare said she had been dating the DJ Mo for a while and at some point was pregnant for him. She allegedly terminated the pregnancy.
Size 8 left DJ Mo after his affair with Margaret Wanyama came to light. However, the celebrity couple reconciled.
In August 2022, Size 8 once again clashed with DJ Mo and she moved out of her matrimonial home before they sorted out their issues and got back together.
Size 8 and DJ Mo on 31st August 2022, jointly addressed their disagreement in a YouTube video.
The mother of two admitted that she ran away from her matrimonial home because of DJ Mo’s action.
“Yes I ran away. I ran away and I was very angry at DJ Mo alikua amenikosea. So I ran I just needed some space to breathe and just talk to God. I believe when my emotions are so high if we are under the same roof tutaongeleshana vibaya, tutatreatiana vibaya so I had to just go,” Size 8 said.
Size 8 however refused to go into the details about what really made her leave her matrimonial home.
“It was not for a small reason, it was for something that Mo amenikosea. Beb si ulinikosea? Na akasema pole na aka apologize. We sat down with men of God pastor Joan and pastor Chris Chege. We sat down with them and came to a Biblical conclusion and a Biblical understanding and now we are reconciled back to the marriage,” she said.
Size 8 added that;
“You know now the problem is this beb, watu wataanza kuamka watokange kwa mandoa. Please no, don’t wake up and start leaving your marriage for any reason. Remember my reason, I don’t want to go into details, was not a small reason and it was not pettiness you understand? And the good thing with me he actually accepted his mistake and apologize and we sat under men of God and we were blessed with what they told us,” she said.
Size’s 8 August 1, 2024, announcement that she had parted ways with DJ Mo should be taken with a pinch of salt.
If her past actions are anything to go by, then it’s only a matter of time before she reconciles with her husband and runs back into her loving arms.
