Geoffrey Mwathi fell to his death from DJ Fatxo’s 10th-floor apartment located along Thika Road.
Jeff Mwathi’s family is still contemplating how he died at the residence of Mugiithi star DJ Fatxo.
Mwathi’s final WhatsApp interaction with his mother, who resides in Qatar, was shown in a report that appeared on Inooro TV.
According to the report, she also wanted her Geoffrey to move to the Middle Eastern country and live with her.
Mwathi had shown anticipation about meeting the singer who asked him to do home interiors for his studio in WhatsApp voice notes.
“Mum, please send me KSh 200, I have just talked with DJ Fatxo, and we are meeting at Ruiru, but I don’t have any money. I look really good, and I will make sure to take a photo with him and I will send you so that you can see,” he told his mother.”
“I have met with DJ Fatxo, and we are now along Kiambu road. He wanted me to design his shop, and we will talk about money tomorrow so that I can get started,” he said.
According to reports, the “Jeff” had spent the whole day with the well-known DJ and singer.
CCTV footage also showed that after spending quality time together at three separate clubs, Fatxo, Mwathi, and three women went to his apartment.
According to Mwathi’s uncle, Fatxo, and the three women, were last seen leaving, Jeff and the other two men remained at the house about 4 am.
“The two men also left the house and went down to the parking, and looked over. Fatxo’s cousin was also seen making a call, and then Jeff fell from the 10th floor,” he said.
The police report states that Fatxo said Mwathi jumped from his bedroom’s open window.
